Description

The LC 8.49 is a new Landing Craft by the Naval Architect Rick Welin (Canada) specifically developed for military use. Speed: 40 knots max. Crew / Personnel : 10. Certification: CE Category C. The boat can be easily transported onboard larger vessels or airplanes, and can be supplied with a trailer for transportation by road.

Construction

The boat can be easily transported onboard larger vessels or airplanes, and can be supplied with a trailer for transportation by road.

The LC 8.49 is very strongly built to withstand hard work in serious conditions. It has a hull made of an aluminum-magnesium alloy, on which all the various units are mounted, and can also be supplied with foam collar guards on request .

The fully equipped control station is installed on the aft part of the open deck, and can be modified to better suit operational requirements.

Forward of the control station there is a cargo area over 4.9mt long which can be outfitted with removable seating for up to 8 troops.

Additional outfitting includes two shock-mitigating seats for pilot and co-pilot, tow post, tow line reel, motor guard, and lifting eyes.

Options include deck crane, lifting davit, side doors, dive bottle racks, etc.

Standard power is 2 x gasoline outboards of 250 Hp, for a maximum speed of 40 knots. Range reaches 400 miles, which significantly increases the practical potential of the boat.

The boat can be equipped with two universal mounts for 7.62 or 12.7 machine guns. Bulletproof windshields can be installed.

The Landing Craft can be supplied as a kit for local construction. This includes all alloy parts, cut and ready for assemply and welding.
