HISTORY & DESCRIPTION: SILVER KING was designed and built by Thornycroft & Co. Ltd. Hampton Upon Thames in 1965 for Alan De Costa of London. Alan kept her on the River Thames in the first year of his ownership, returning SILVER KING to Thornycroft’s in 1966 for the wheelshelter to be fully enclosed. SILVER KING was then sailed down to Palma, Mallorca where she was sold in 1967 to Leslie Bolson of Albion Gate, Hyde Park, London.
